Unique Czech Art Deco Necklace ~ This distinct marbled cobalt glass necklace dates from the 1920 -1930 era. This type of marbled glass was only made in the Czech Bohemia region, in the Glabonz region to be precise. The beads are hand made lamp workers glass, accomplished in slightly irregular off round shapes. The beads were made to look like Lapis Lazuli. This type of marbled glass was only made in green, red and cobalt. There are 51 beads on this necklace ranging in size from 4 mm up to 16 mm. The necklace is interconnected rings of brass metal that was plated with silver metal. Each Lapis bead has silver metal flower bell caps on both ends. The necklace has the original brass spring clasp and jump ring and measures 31" long. It is in excellent, pristine condition and is exceptionally clean. There are no imperfections to this piece, just light silver wear on the brass components. There is no green oxidation or verdigris patina from moisture. Although not signed, Im certain of the origin and time frame in which it was produced ~
